With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Veronica DeLeon, a beloved special education teacher in our district. Veronica’s dedication, compassion, and commitment to her students have left an enduring mark on our school community.
Veronica’s legacy extends beyond her classroom — she inspired us all with her resilience, love, and joy. She was a devoted supporter of the Owls and could often be found in the stands, cheering passionately at Reagan County events. She was also a gifted artist who frequently shared her talents with those around her. She created a mural at the Elementary that will be treasured by staff and students, providing daily inspiration and enjoyment for years to come. She was an amazing person, and her memory will forever be a part of our district family.

Friends and family are invited to remember and celebrate the life of Veronica Ramirez DeLeon, a truly remarkable woman who touched so many hearts and minds, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of God Holiness, 576 Colorado, Big Lake, Texas. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Cemetery, Big Lake, Texas.
