Parents, We were informed a Kindergarten student has tested positive for COVID-19. They have not been on campus since Tuesday and all areas have been disinfected as they are daily and all steps have been taken to quarantine this individual. Masks are not required for students but still highly recommended we also have other safety protocols in place to help curtail any close contact exposure (i.e. handwashing, hand sanitizer, safe distancing in the classroom, etc.) . If we feel that your child was in close contact with these students we will notify you separately. Thank you.

Reagan County ISD has added the following to our COVID-19 Policy. Reagan County ISD will take into consideration vaccinations for employees or students. This will allow employees and students not to quarantine unless they develop symptoms. This will not count unless the following requirements have been met. You will need two doses from the same manufacturer, spaced 21 or 28 days apart. You will get full protection from the vaccine usually 1–2 weeks after getting your second dose. After you get the vaccine, you will still need to keep wearing a mask, social distance, and wash your hands often.

We want to inform you that a 6th grade student and an 8th grade student are quarantining due to close contact. They have not been on campus this week. We also want to inform you that a 7th grade student was sent home this morning prior to going to class with symptoms. As always, all areas have been disinfected and any families have been contacted that we believe may have been in close contact.

Parents, an 8th grade girls basketball player became symptomatic on the trip to Sonora last night. As soon as symptoms were present, she was isolated. All participants were wearing masks and separated from the individual on the bus. The windows were also placed down for ventilation. We do not believe any other individuals were directly exposed. As always, please closely monitor your child for any symptoms. Thank you.
