Congratulations to our RCMS December People of the Month! December Students of the Month 6th Grade – Izzac Martinez “Izzac is quiet and attentive in class. He gets along well with other students, works well in groups, and always has a smile on his face. He is trustworthy and a pleasure to have in class. He finishes his classwork quickly and accurately. Izzac is quick to help others, and his competitive but helpful nature encourages his classmates to do their best as well.” -Coach Escobar and Mr. Albert Perez 7th Grade – Kaden Galindo “Kaden works hard. He is always cooperative and hardworking. He is quiet in class, but he sets a good example for his peers by being respectful and positive.” -Coach Weston 8th Grade – Ruben Bernal “Ruben is a good student and always willing to assist the remote learners with their labs.” -Coach Baucom December Teacher of the Month Tiffany Pullig Mrs. Pullig is the type of teacher that will always put her students before herself. Even with a full schedule, many kids to serve, and a ton of paperwork, you will not see Mrs. Pullig without a huge smile on her face. You can catch Mrs. Pullig spreading RCMS pride around campus and at the students’ activities. Keep up the great work, Mrs. Pullig! December Parent of the Month Tracie Avalos Mrs. Avalos is always involved in everything the kids are doing inside and outside of school. She also volunteers and runs several different programs that cater to and mold our youth. Thank you for everything you do, Mrs. Avalos. We greatly appreciate you!

Parents, We were informed of two 7th grade students that have been in close contact outside of school with a person who tested positive for COVID-19. One student was on campus today but all areas have been disinfected as they are daily and we have taken the steps to quarantine this individual. Thank you.

Parents, an 8th grade girls basketball player became symptomatic on the trip to Sonora last night. As soon as symptoms were present, she was isolated. All participants were wearing masks and separated from the individual on the bus. The windows were also placed down for ventilation. We do not believe any other individuals were directly exposed. As always, please closely monitor your child for any symptoms. Thank you.

Parents, We were informed a 2nd grade student has tested positive for COVID-19. They were on campus Friday but all areas have been disinfected as they are daily and we have taken the steps to quarantine this individual. Masks are not required for students but still highly recommended we also have other safety protocols in place to help curtail any close contact exposure (i.e. handwashing, hand sanitizer, safe distancing in the classroom, etc.) . If we feel that your child was in close contact with these students we will notify you separately. Thank you.

Parents of seniors--please encourage your student to check the Google classroom for available scholarships for our area. They may also see me at school for information. Deadlines will be approaching quickly and this semester is going to fly by!

Here is information on tickets for the RCMS games in Christoval tomorrow. Below you will find the link that will host online ticket sales. The gym will allow 90 spectators for the visiting teams. Tickets will be $3 per person and that ticket will be good for all games on that scheduled day. School aged children and up will need a ticket to enter the game. Any participants for that day do not need a ticket. All spectators must wear a mask and do their best to social distance. Sales for the game begin at 8 am, the day before the scheduled competition. Juniors interested in taking the PSAT: It will be given Tuesday, January 26th. Cost is $5--paid to Miss Venable. Sign up in the counselor's office until January 21st. Free practice available on the Khan Academy website.

The next ACT date is February 6th. The deadline to register online is FRIDAY--January 8th. If you are planning on taking the test, register ASAP.
